While reading the Readme.install before installing the latest MC I encountered Scotts
advice about
upgrading graphic card drivers:
"Be sure that you have the absolute latest drivers for your graphics
card before using MetaCard. Many of the drivers that ship with
Windows 95 and 98 are severely broken and you'll see strange things
like missing images, wrong colors, garbage left on the screen after
windows are closed or objects are moved, or even application or system
crashes. ...."
I think this covers it.
