It may have been.  The offender claimed (as I remember) that the dealer
accepted cash for 5 auctions when he was not even in the country.  There is
more to that and I'm not fighting other people's battles.  I just read about
it on the list and anyone can go look it up if they wish. It was a setup and
could be proven.  That's all that is important.  The point is that it is
technically possible for eBay to remove negative feedback if they opt to do
so, as in the case of a criminal act.
