Never going to happen. The tucson show has too big of a draw to worry about saving a few bucks on the room. Dealers would lose money in the long run.

Hi list

Have been checking hotel rates and I found that Laughlin Nevada has $25/night Sunday-Thursday and $49/night Friday and Saturday rates during the Cloud's jamboree with special rates for vendors at some hotels.

Its too late I'd think to change from Tucson to Laughlin for the upcoming show, but for 2007, I'd like to see some serious thought put towards the move of the meteorite show.

Cloud's jamboree has long been a major rock and gem show and combined with the G&LW wholesale show, it provides for many vendors and buyers from around the world, not to mention the tourist trade.

With many (thousands) of rooms just in the casino hotels, nearby Kingman and Needles also offer hotels and an easy commute, finding a place to stay shouldn't be the problem like at Tucson

The only drawback is flights which either put you into Kingman or Las Vegas. But still, would be minor when a flight and car to Nevada are under $400 r/t

Mark.
