Dear Sudheer,

possibly Cu2O (judged by colour). Possibly by reaction of BME,
cysteines oder oxidized sugar side chains or glycerol (aldehydes!)
with Cu(2+).
As you seem to loose all your protein, most probably polymerization
(cysteines -> intermoleular bridges) has occurred.

What is the purpose of this experiment?
