I am an avid advocate Unigraphics. As one would expect from a high-end
system, the modeling capabilities are immense, as are the assembly features,
You can customize your tool libraries in ways our guys at SmartCam never
even dreamed of. But when it comes to controlling every move on the machine
down to the smallest fillet, or when you feel like putting something new
into the code generators, or if you just want to turn offset off in the
middle of the toolpath, You find that SmartCam, like it was five years ago,
is still unparalelled.
And yes, let's keep the discussion going.

Well, lets keep this discussion about alternative CAM systems going,
it's a
good one. Everyone's needs are different. We do a lot of everyday
type
machining with many tools and many workplaces. Also some prototype
and mold
type work. We have got our first look at Esprit and Gibbs, we were
actually
quite optimistic about both. Any ideas?
