Even though the Job Notes field supports multiple lines of text, it is still a single text string when stored in the Job File. There is a limit to the length of this string of 256 characters. This limit includes the 2 characters stored at the end of each line, "\n", as well as any additional hidden character preceding quotation marks, back slashes and several other characters normally reserved for other purposes.
