Jon,
I thought I would give this a shot and see what I came up with. I created
my layer and the showcut stayed greyed out. I had to create a tool path for
the showcut to work and I got the material layer to show in showcut.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] tapered layers for material

I want to create a material layer for use in show cut that is tapered. The
first operation is on a lathe, and turns the part to a 15.5 degree included
angle, starting at 1.0 inch dia, extending 2. inches along, then
straightening out. Is there anyway of creating this for showcut material?
Thanks
Jon
