I have had the best luck with the DXF "save as" feature in SW. Then import it into SmartyCam.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Solidworks to SmartCam?
One of our customers is upgrading their mechanical design from a 2D system to Solid Works. Any ideas on what the best way to import data from Solid Works into SmartCam would be? IGES? We machine mostly rectangular shapes with pockets, profiles, drilled and tapped holes, but no surfaces at this time.
Thank you for any input.
