Alan,

We use ProComm Plus for downloading files to the machine control.
It's operator friendly and very easy to setup and use.
Before that we had Cimnet Folders which was very expensive and cumbersome
to load all the information. Needless to say we got rid of it.
As for uploading, we don't allow uploading programs on the floor.
Our operators write down edits on the program hard copy and we update
SmartCAM to output the correct code. This way the graphics are always
current for updates and revision changes.

I am looking for suitable software to allow us to down and upload
program files between a PC (Win 95b) and our Mazak (M1, M32,
T2, T3, T32-2) and Heidenhain TNC 415b controllers. We are only
wanting to transfer the files to the PC for storage and back up, ie
not for drip feed nor editing etc.
What are you using and what are your comments?

Regards
Alan Gordon
