Hello everyone
I program a 2-axis knee mill using Free Form Machining. Z-axis is manually operated so I usually drill an entry hole for my end mill. If I do a pocket with islands and pick the center of the hole as my start point I get a message that says the user start point has been ignored at some point. It is very difficult to ramp in with a manually operated quill. The end mill I have selected will cut around all islands without gouging any unwanted areas. Can anyone sugget a method that will cause the selected start point to be used and keep the end mill in the cut until the pocket is completed?
Thanks for any suggestions you can offer.
