*WALK-IN-INTERVIEW ( Senior Resident)*

A walk in interview will be held on 18.12.2010 for filling up of a few
posts of Senior Resident in ( 6 Psychiatry /2 Neurology/ 2 Radiology ) in
the Pay Band Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + GP Rs. 6600/- plus other allowances as
admissible under residency scheme of the Institute. Essential Qualification:
(i) MBBS degree and (ii) PG degree or diploma in concerned specialty from a
recognized Institution/University/MCI. (iii) Registration under MCI or State
Council.  Age: 33 years in case of PG or 35 years in case of post doctoral
degree holder with relaxation applicable for SC/ST (5 years) and OBC (3
years) as per Central Govt. norms. Eligible and interested candidates are
requested to appear with all relevant original testimonials/BIO-DATA and
report to the Administrative Office by 10 AM sharp. No TA/DA will be paid
for appearing in the interview.

*WALK-IN-INTERVIEW ( Junior Resident)*

A walk in interview will be held on 18.12.2010 for preparing a panel of
Junior Resident in Psychiatry to be appointed on contractual basis on a
basic pay Rs.15,600/- + GP 5400 p.m. plus other allowances as admissible
under rules of the residency scheme of the institute. Interested candidates
with MBBS degree from a recognized Institution are requested to come with
all the relevant original testimonials / Bio-Data / attested copies of
certificate/ one PP size photograph and report to the Administrative Office
by 10 a.m. sharp. Preference will be given to the candidates with DPM. Age
limit for the post is 30 years with relaxation applicable in case of
SC/ST/OBC as admissible under Central Government Rules.

*Essential Qualification*: For Sl. No. 1-3: Professor, Associate Professor
and Assistant Professor: (i) A recognized medical qualification included in
the First or Second Schedule or Part – II of the Third Schedule (other than
licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act,1956. Holders
of educational qualifications included in Part – II of the Third Schedule
should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub – section (3) of
section (13) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate
degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section – A of the Schedule
–VI or equivalent.
*Essential Experience*: For *Professor* (Sl No. 1) – (i) 12 years standing
in the profession out of which at least 4 years experience should be in the
concerned specialty as Associate Professor in a Medical College/Teaching
Institution after the requisite Post-graduate degree qualification. (ii)
Extensive practical and administrative experience.
*Essential Experience: *For *Associate Professor *(Sl No.2*)*- 5 years as
Tutor/ Demonstrator/ Senior Resident / Register / Lecturer after the
requisite PG out of which at least 2 years as Assistant Professor.
*Essential Experience: *For *Assistant Professor *(Sl No.3*)*- 3 years as
Tutor/ Demonstrator/ Senior Resident / Register / Lecturer after the
requisite PG qualification.
*Essential Qualification*: For Sl No. 4 to 9. i) First or Second Class (55%)
Master’s Degree in concerned discipline, (ii) M.Phil. in PSW/DPSW (Sl. No. 4
& 7) / M.Phil in Medical & Social Psychology/Clinical Psychology or DMSP  (2
years Course) (Sl. No. 5 & [image: 8)]/ M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing (Sl.
No. 6 & 9).  *Desirable:* (iii) Ph.D./D.Sc. in concerned specialty from a
recognized Institutions/University.
*Essential Experience*: For Associate Professor(Sl No.4 to 6): 8 years
teaching & research experience out of which 5years as Assistant Professor in
Psychiatric Social Work/Clinical Psychology/Psychiatric Nursing. *
Desirable: *i) Research/published work in indexed journals.
*Essential Experience*: For Assistant Professor(Sl No.7 to 9): 5 years
clinical teaching experience as Psychiatric Social Worker/Clinical
Psychologist/ Psychiatric Nursing Tutor/ Lecturer in a Psychiatry
Department/ recognized teaching Institutions after M.Phil / M.Sc. (Nursing)
degree or 3 years clinical / research experience in concerned subject after
Ph.D degree. Experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the selection
committee if a person is found otherwise suitable. *Desirable: *i) Research
/published work.
*Essential Qualification*: For Sl No.10 i) First or Second Class Master’s
Degree in Nursing.
*Essential Experience*: 2 years teaching & research experience as Nursing
Tutor in a Mental Hospital, /recognized teaching Institutions. Experience
may be relaxed at the discretion of the selection committee if a person is
found otherwise suitable.*Desirable: *i) Research/published work in indexed
journals. (ii) Working knowledge on local/regional language.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

   1. Candidates who do not fulfill requirement of advertisement need not
   apply. (2) All Medical Qualifications should be recognized under MCI. (3)
   Consolidated fixed pay without any allowances will be admissible to the
   selected candidates for appointment on contractual basis. (4) Contractual
   appointment will be made against sanctioned project under National Manpower
   Development Scheme of National Mental Health Programme (NMHP) of the
   Government of India initially for 1 year which may be extended up to 3 years
   or the duration of the project period whichever is earlier. (5)The
   contractual appointee will not be entitled to any benefit like Provident
   Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical reimbursement for treatment, seniority,
   promotion, confirmation etc. or any other benefit which are admissible to a
   regular Institute employee. (6) Relaxation in upper age limit will be
   applicable in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates and retired employees as per
   Central Govt. norms. (7) Interested and qualified candidates may appear in
   the Walk in Interview with all original certificate in respect of Age,
   Qualification, Registration (MCI/INC/RCI) Certificate, working experience
   certificate and attested copies of certificate/one PP size photograph to the
   Administrative Officer, LGBRIMH, Tezpur-784001 on 10 AM of *21.12.2010*(8)
   Canvassing in any form will be treated as disqualification. (9) No TA / DA
