*Mar 14 2011* *New Delhi* : A 30-year-old mentally challenged man allegedly stabbed his parents in Janakpuri, West Delhi, after they denied him financial support for opening a gift shop, police said.
The accused, identified as Rohit Kapoor, has been detained for questioning. Police said Rohit is being treated for a mental illness. The incident was reported at 9 pm on Saturday. Rohit allegedly attacked his mother Usha (59) and father Ramesh Kapoor (63) with a kitchen knife following an argument over him opening a gift shop. The parents have been admitted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where Usha is said to be in a critical condition.
