Dear Vaishnavai, I got the draft a week back and I dinot have time to go through in a detailed way as the last day for comments is 8th august. The website restricts the comments page to only members of organisations and is not open to individuals. The amendments are very cleverly loaded in favour of the existing people which is controlling the Trust as the new registration under the new act does NOT include those whose organisations registered under the PWDEA act 1995. Does every autistic child or child having cerebral palsy require "high support' which the new amendment assumes. It is not very clear how the "High support" will be decided and by whom. I have put the following comments in its web page with kind regards.

Who will constitute this committee? Who will be members of this committee? Please ref 8(A) technical advisory committee?. Will this committee define " high support needs"? As the present National Trust committee has members who were registered with it after it was formed in 1998, it naturally has members from only those disabilities to which it catered originally.But now with inclusion of ALL DISABILITIES with HIGH SUPPORT NEEDS, the registration process should be given more time for other disabilities to register with the trust.all trusts registered with government under persons with Disabilities act 1995 also should become automatically be part of the National trust .
