*NEW DELHI *: CBSE's annual counselling and helpline is on. Students and
parents can interact with counsellors to overcome examination stress and
other problems till April 16.

The CBSE helpline will be active on multiple modes - telephonic
counselling, question-answer column in newspapers, interactive voice
response system, and online counselling through CBSE website. Approximately
67 counsellors from CBSE0-affiliated government and private schools and a
few psychologists are participating in the tele-counseling process.

For the first time, counsellors from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jammu and Kashmir,
Kolkata and a counselor from a private school in Nepal are participating in
this tele-counselling.

Students can dial the toll-free number 1800 180 3456 from 8am to midnight
from any part of India. About 11 counsellors from outside India, including
Japan, Kuwait, Doha-Qatar and Saudi Arabia are also participating in this
programme.

Snehi, a non-profit organization focusing on mental health, has also opened
its pre-exam counselling service from Wednesday, which would continue till
March 3. The helpline number is 011-65978181 and it will be active between
10am and 7pm every day. This pre-exam helpline will be manned by a group of
trained counsellors and mental health professionals.
