*PUNE : *A Magistrate's court on Tuesday reserved its order on whether
MSRTC bus driver Santosh Mane should continue to stay in Yerawada central
prison or shifted Yerawada mental hospital, till Saturday. As asked by the
court, the police submitted the statements of Dr Dilip Burte, who claimed
that he had provided psychiatric treatment to Mane, and his relatives who
had told the police about Mane’s mental illness.

Mane’s lawyer M K Agarwal filed an application before judicial magistrate
first class Umeshchandra More requesting to summon Dr Burte to court to
testify about Mane’s alleged mental illness and to keep the original case
papers including his brain scan, reports of various tests conducted in the
court’s custody, so that they are not tampered with. The court has called
for the prosecution’s say on this application.
