5-July-2012 KOCHI : Nineteen inmates of the Palluruthy Relief Settlement, Kochi, with mental illness, who hail from Jharkhand and Bihar, should be admitted to the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Kanke, Ranchi, ordered a Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday.
The order was passed by the Division Bench consisting of Justice Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and Justice K. Vinod Chandran. Separate compartment They should be provided a separate compartment in a train and medical support during the journey. The Railway Protection Force should ensure adequate security for these patients. The cost of the transport should be borne jointly by Railways and the Central and State governments. The Kerala State Legal Services Authority should organise the transfer of the inmates, the order said.
