INDORE: A mentally challenged man cut off his penis in full public view on
Sunday near Barfani Dham area. The incident happened in the evening when a
45-year-old Shahid Hussain, resident of Madina Nagar went into a road-side
barber's shop. He took off razor from the counter and cut-off his private part.
The eye-witnesses immediately called ambulance and rushed the patient to
Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital. His condition is said to be critical.
According to the police, Hussain is mentally challenged and was away from home
since February 1. The investigating officer at Vijay Nagar police station said
that he was addicted to playing gamble and money loss might have prompted him
to take the step.
The eye-witnesses said that he was saying that he had got a lottery.
