Dear Madam , I read the PTI report and also your clarification to Mr. Rajiv and also the Hindu has also published your reply on similar lines. As a father of a Psycho social disabled daughter (only child) and also being a terminal Cancer patient Stage IV Pancreatic cancer where chemo has stopped working, I was pained at your reply which was issued as a clarification. You spoke your mind because you though it is a closed door GOM meeting.I am enclosing a link to my blog post on the issue of Psycho social disability and Erawady fire. The blogpost also has link to your interview and also copy of the Supreme court order and Government affidavit on the matter. My question to you is 1. Do you believe disabled due to mental illness are employable or not?2. If you believe they are not employable then why as Central Minister of Social justice you did not allow Psycho social disability(mental illness disabled ) to be included in the National trust act while even learning disablities was catered to by the National Trust.3. You are aware of IDEAS scale and if a person is 40% and above disabled then only disability benefits are given to them not ambi olympics, nor awards, nor loans as given to other disabilities but Rly concession which we get on the pretext of Mentally disabled. and income tax concession to the parents. 4. The new disabilities bill was produced after laborious effort for nearly 2 to 3 years throughout India by many disability activists and also carers.5.Will you kindly visit the Shahdra mental hospital or the pavilion of NIMHANS or OPD of AIIMS atleast once? 6. Will you also visit at least once organisations like SNEHI, The Banyan, Maher or Richmond fellowship etc which cater to the disabled due to mental illness beforre you give your views to the GOM? Thanking you Madam. Yours faithfully,
