If you are adding messages, you need the -add option.  Otherwise,
you creating a new archive each time.

Have you done a file listing of the archive directory?

Also, with cron, the current working directory is normally set to
to the home directory of the user account.  Is this where you want
the archive to exist?  You should use the -outdir option to explicitly
tell mhonarc where the archive should go.
