After reading up on some other users groups, I came accross what I hope will be a fun new addition to MHVLUG meetings. Lightning talks.
From here on out the first 10 minutes of the MHVLUG meeting will be devoted to lightning talks. Anyone can get up to give a mini talk about anything they like related to Open Source. You have 5 minutes maximum, which we'll keep track of on the clock. After 5 minutes, you are done and we get you off the stage for the next lightning talk, or the main program. You don't have to let me know in advance, though if you do, I'll make sure you have a slot to go that week. Tonight I'll lightning talk for 5 minutes on 3 fun programs I found in returning to Gnome (based on my blog post: http://dague.net/2007/10/24/on-returning-to-gnome) -Sean -- __________________________________________________________________ Sean Dague Mid-Hudson Valley sean at dague dot net Linux Users Group http://dague.net http://mhvlug.org There is no silver bullet. Plus, werewolves make better neighbors than zombies, and they tend to keep the vampire population down. __________________________________________________________________
