The hood latch on my girlfriend's car let loose while she was on the highway
this morning. She's fine and there were no injuries, but the logistical
problems made by her car not being drivable means I won't be able to make the
Linux Fest this Saturday. Sucks but I guess that's life.

On Saturday during the GeekFest I'll be in the MHVLUG IRC channel to be of
what help that I can with projects, such as Joe's packaging up the open
source Descent2 binaries into a .deb, or anyone else's that could use a hand.

Sorry it has to be IRC, Joe. Also there are several versions of Descent
software, I'm assuming you want D2X-XL that has OpenGL support:
   http://www.descent2.de/d2x.html

And I suggest making a separate .deb package that is a .deb package *creator*
for the nondistributable content files, as was similarly done with packages
for Google Earth or Doom Wads. [Did Descent had a shareware package at one
time which would be distributable?]
