Gnome has this Network Manager Applet that, when you turn your system on, automatically identifies the wireless networks in range and whether or not they are secure.

Does KDE have something that does this? I can only go online in Gnome, but the fact that I can must mean that I don't have a driver or that my system can't find the adapter.

They told me that I needed to upgrade Windows. So I upgraded it to Linux for free. For a free download, go to http://www.ubuntulinux.org/products/WhatIsUbuntu/desktopedition
