You say you run Fedora servers. I run Fedora 13 on my desktop, installed from DVD. Sendmail is pre-installed. Check your services to see if it is enabled. I get a daily logwatch report emailed to my user account on the same PC, sent via sendmail. The only configuration I needed to do was to add an email alias so that email sent to root was directed to my user account. Since you want to send email to other PC's, perhaps that is where configuration difficulties begin. I've never tried that. I also run smartd and the daily report is included in my logwatch report. _______________________________________________ Mid-Hudson Valley Linux Users Group http://mhvlug.org http://mhvlug.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mhvlug Upcoming Meetings (6pm - 8pm) MHVLS Auditorium Nov 3 - Open Source Hardware: Bugs, Beagles and Beyond Dec 1 - IBM's Open Client Deployment Jan 5 - Building a Comunity Site with Drupal
