I'm actually surprised to hear this because I always assumed that he had at least minimal coding skills. For anyone who doesn't know, Mike is the founder of Bloomber LP, a very successful finacial information company (and my employer for two years). His hands-on inolvement in the original technology of the Bloomberg Terminal was very much a part of the cultural history of the company, but apparently he was more hardware oriented. His tech skills are also probably fairly dated. I was told he once said something like "there are people who know more about technology than me, and people who know more about finance, but no one knows more about both."
