Thank you for the informative response.

Lack of AdHoc support is by no means a deal breaker, just a surprise. The
Nexus 4 is replacing the Nokia so it should be a non issue.
I only discovered this during a moment of desperation. Since I'm in a
transitional stage I was carrying both devices (SIM located in the Nokia).
I needed to do some quick work in a browser. The Nokia's 233Mhz CPU is not up
to the task, although it does make a decent modem/AP.

I'm just glad to hear that my symptoms are not pointing toward hardware
defects. I'm rarely an early adopter. I thought I was prepared for
problems during the transition. It just seems the issues I've encountered,
were no where near my expectations.

I may just move my router to a more central location, or test some Access
Points, which I've had my eye on. This should help with the seemingly
short range for WiFi on this device. I'm also going to try some other wifi
networks such as McDonalds, and others mentioned.

Once I feel WiFi is stable at my house, I'll tackle the internet phone echo
problem.

Thanks again,

Eric
