I would say that I'm still not used to Unity. I've mostly just managed to
ignore it. I use <hyper> (tap) to launch applications and <alt>-` to switch
between windows of the same application, and that's about the extent of my
direct interaction.

I get annoyed waiting for the stupid dash thingy to figure out what I'm
trying to launch, and I still think the dock is pretty dumb, but none of it
is bad enough to make me switch.
