Hmm. Didn't notice that earlier -- but that's what it said, I just did a
cut-n-paste to e-mail. I'll try again w/o name conversion.

Actually, I had Hex output on. Other packets showed a hex dump below each
line, but those lines didn't show anything hex dump. I have no idea what
they mean.

Thanks Fred. I've managed to ignore the blindingly obvious (again) -- you're
right, I was looking at the ethernet side, not the modem side.
(Hello, McFly...) I will try again with the CORRECT interface, and post
results.

I have opened the ports Dialpad suggested, and even entirely disabled the
firewall (for a short testing period). Neither helped.

DialPad gives a long list of "Private Network" instructions, including
Linux-NAT and several other NAT-type routers, so I know I should be able to
get Miami to work... just a matter of persistence. Long distance is so cheap
right now, that I can't hardly justify 10 hours of my time, just to get a few
free calls. I'm really doing this more as a learning experience...
