There's no such a file as "miami.key3". IIRC the keyfiles for *any* version
of Miami are "Miami.key1" and "Miami.key2" - only if you'd have registered
MiamiDeluxe you would have gotten another keyfile: MiamiDx.key.
That said, the key upgrade info from Miami 2.x -> 3.x can be found in
MiamiKeyUpgrade23, maybe you are referring to this?
Anyway, here are some possibilities:
- You registered Miami 2.x or older and are still using the same
keyfiles.
You do need to upgrade your keyfiles for Miami 3.x. Unfortunately,
since Holger suffered some technical problems some weeks ago and is
extremely busy at the moment, you are not likely to get this done
for some time. In this case, I would suggest in the meantime you
stick to an older version of Miami, maybe 2.1p, so you can take
advantage of your old keyfiles, until the registration process is
sorted.
- Your keyfiles got somehow corrupt.
No problem as long as you have a backup, or you kept your MiamiRegistration
file - you can generate a new pair of keyfiles with MiamiRegister then.
Otherwise, bad luck, since you will need to submit your registration
-that is, your license code- to Nordic Global... See above.
- Your keyfiles cannot be read for whatever reason.
Make sure they are listed as "----rwed" in a Shell directory.
- Your keyfiles were blacklisted.
Very unlikely, but still possible. Your keyfiles might have been copied
to another, remote computer while you were online, if e.g. you installed
some trojan in your system. You should contact Holger to sort this out.
