Hello Miami list,

OK, a couple days ago I posted a problem I was having getting Miami 3.2b to
communicate with my modem. It was suggested that my problem might lie with
the serial port on my GVP G-Force 040 and rotten drivers thereof. But if this
is the case, can anyone tell me why Miami 1.1 is able to communicate
perfcetly with the modem (on the same serial port etc.) and dial out without
errors? Also I have noticed someone with a Hypercom 3+ on this list who is
having the same problem I have so I wonder if this problem isn't of a more
universal nature.

The only thing that I can think of is that Miami 3.2 is using ClassAct
whereas Miami 1.1 uses MUI. Could ClassAct be the culprit on my particular
setup? (please don't laugh at me if this is ludicrous, I'm no programmer,
just some girl trying to solve computer problems with logic and gut instinct
:-\ ) With this in mind, I downloaded the MUI modules from the NordicGlobal
website BUT... even after putting the MUI.Miamigui and MUI.Miamitoolsgui into
Miami:Libs, neither MiamiInit nor Miami can find the modules (have tried both
GUI=MUI in Tooltypes and selecting from string gadget on GUI page of Miami-
only the ClassAct choice is given).

Please, someone, help! I am totally defeated :( ...I'd use Miami 1.1 only
this just seems such a bad solution with a much more advanced version of the
program available...

Oh yes... my system= A2000, GVP G-force 040/33, OS 3.5 +BB1, Spectrum, P96
