If you didn't keep a backup of your keyfile, you would have to register
again.
Same as if you lose your wallet, you don't get free replacement money.
Personally, I keep a floppy disk with backups of all my keyfiles, plus
CD-ROM backups of all my hard drives.
You might try an insurance claim.
