I did the same as you Paul and the same thing happened to me. I posted mine back in
September and the envelope was returned to me in November. It came back from
California which is where Holger K is now living I believe - but nobody seems to know
exactly where.
I think you'll find H_K has given up on Miami and the Amiga - I joined this list
around September last and he hasn't made an appearance here since then - other people
on here said he was quite active with the list in times gone by so I think like so
many other Amigans he's gone his seperate way.
The only way you'll get registered now (if it's worth doing bearing in mind Miami
almost certainly isn't going any furthur) is to do it online with a credit card.
Like you I don't use the damn plastic so what I did was to borrow a card
from a friend of mine to get registered and I paid him the registration fee so he
could pay off his cc bill when it came through. Well he never has been billed for it
so I don't know what to think about that.
You can take my route if you like - if you do and you'r in North America you'll
probably find you can't get hold of the USAssl. I know a couple of Americans who
registered online months ago (they didn't get billed either) and they still can't get
the ssl - so it would appear the online sysem isn't working properly. I'm from
England so I use the Internationalssl which is freely available from Vapors site so I
didn't have any problem there.
So unless you can use a credit card I think you've had it - unless H_K comes back to
life and that doesn't look very likeley from whats been going on in the past months.
Thats about all I can say - not much help but at least you know what the
situation is with Miami as I see it - others on here may chip in with some comments.
