Hmm, yeah, that is a pain.  I usually ended up using one called IBMfont.
I've come across about 4 or 5 different fonts with the old PC/ANSI box
drawing characters.  There's not that many.  Perhaps it's worth spending a
bit of time with a font editor, and making up a range of sizes of a good
one?
