That's why I said "and compiling it yourself"; you would only use the binary
you create yourself, if concerned about security.
This applies to any program which is supplied in binary and source form;
unless you go to the trouble of disassembling the supplied executable and
comparing it with the source code, the only way to get an executable you
trust is to compile the source yourself.
