You need to be careful, because the meaning of negative/positive numbers
is reversed between locale and ENV:TZ.

The usual meaning (used in Internet timezone variables, for email and by
locale.library) is for "+" to mean "east of", i.e. "later than GMT", and
for "-" to mean "west of", i.e. "earlier than GMT".

ENV:TZ has this exactly reversed, i.e. a TZ setting of "EST5" corresponds
to "-0500", i.e. 5 hours west of GMT. "MST-1" corresponds to "+0100",
i.e. 1 hour east of GMT.

For MiamiDx all you usually need to do is click on the area in Locale
preferences which contains your timezone. If daylight savings time is
used in your area then during the summer you need to move the bar by
one hour to the right, so that the number increases by one.

For Finland during DST you should probably set locale to "GMT+2" and
ENV:TZ (not required by MiamiDx any more) to "MDT-2".
