Aha...7kpa of target when it exists boost assist. Got it.

I was not aware of (or just forget :) that part of the algorithm. That 
explains the ECU's behavior.

I do have the upgraded intake and and FM silicon IC pipes/intercooler: 
treated the
car to that last year. The throttle body to IC egress junction is a PITA 
fit on my car, and my
first suspect.
