You don't get that for free, you have to come to Summer Camp to get it :)

As for Bob, that was the potent combination of a fast driver in a fast car.
Every few years, we have a really fast person show up. John Hunter has been
quick in the past and if Dan Pedroza ever manages to put down a quick lap then
I think we'll see some spectacular numbers. I should have put the Traqmate in
Bob's car to see what he was doing.

He's done a lot of really interesting detail work on it, and it's far from a
bolt-on catalog special. It's the attention to setup that makes the difference
between a quick car and a really fast one. I'd love to try his wheel/tire combo
(225/45-15 RA1s on 15x9s) to see how they compare to the skinnier-wheel version
I'm used to.

Hi Curtis,
Bob is on the list, so I'll let him tell you about his car. Almost 400
hp and a really good driver is a pretty good combo for taking lap
records. And Bob and Kim drove down from Washington on RA1s. If Bob
hadn't nuked his (number 7?) trans he might have taken the overall car
record, which he was uncomfortably close to. I need to start pedaling
faster.
BTW, Tom Heath (from GRM) was rotating between cars, his time in the
Westfield was from the one and only time he drove the car on track (3
hot laps), so he's a fast learner.
You shoulda oughta been there.

I see that FM has posted lap times and precious few photos from Summer
Camp this year. I also see that Bob Bundy apparently had a very good
day, judging from lap times. Can somebody (Bob, Keith, Bill) elaborate
on Bob's set-up? What was it that made him so stinkin' fast? If you
can beat a 300hp Caterham (Skip) with a Miata, you're doing something
right.
