unfortunately, i think most people don't care, and don't care to see. when I visited dachau last year (on my 5 eastern european country / death camp driving tour) there was an explanation that said during that time there were 3 kinds of germans. 1. the nazi's - who knew EXACTLY what was going on and were made rich and powerful by it. 2. the regular germans, who looked the other way because they profited by it (sound like US during the iraq war?) AND because they were afraid of becoming the 3rd kind of german: 3. the victims who were worked to death and murdered. it is also intersting to note that the work to death camps were profitable, and nazi germany was a capitalistic democracy. dan
