Nah, total threadjack. I was talking about my '73 2002. Two litres of...certainly not fury.

He had been drag racing one time, and felt that his experience playing Gran Tourismo, as well as his bitchin' ride qualified him for a fast run group. The guy was brutal, and was virtually pulling the gear shift out by the roots on every shift, and due to his superior horse power was running everybody off the road down the straight before slowing to a crawl in the corners. He had the nerve to HONK HIS HORN down the straight to clear the way for his wonder-barge. I couldn't believe it. Actually honking the horn on the race track.... That didn't last long, as I threatened to haul him in if he didn't behave. I started to wonder if my chosen recreation would end with me paralyzed or dead as this guy hauled us around the track at 120mph... and only a factory seat belt between me and a guard rail. Finally, he and his buddy caught up to each other and started acting foolish as they tried to make dangerous passes on each other. At that point, I pulled them both in to the pits and told them if they wanted to have a high speed dick measuring contest, that they could do it on another focking track with another instructor. Shape up or hit the road home and never come back. As luck would have it, the guy ran over a nail in the next session. He had a brilliant solution, though - he ran a drywall screw into the hole and wanted to get back out on the track. I decided that I like life too much, and hung up my instructor shirt. I hate to sound like an old guy.... but back in the day when everyone had a 100hp 2002Tii or 914, it was more fun. -Chuck On 7/31/2010 11:08 AM, Larry Alster wrote: I had a student like that this April Was only the 2nd time I've ever had a "bad" student but this guy was WAY over the top.
