My 9600/300's screen redraws (in particular, the icons) are terribly slow. MPEG playback is totally unwatchable (is that a real word?), and anytime I drag a group of icons aroud, it takes forever for them to be redrawn in their final resting place. The machine has 528MB of ram in it, so memory should never be an issue here. What else can I check to speed things up a bit? Should I try to locate an 8MB ATi video card?
