One more thing: to add a msn messenger link, I should use <a class="url" href="msnim:[EMAIL PROTECTED]">texttexttext</a>?

display:none will only hide your email address from non-technical
human visitors.  Bots - which is what you really want to protect
against - will still see your address in the page source.
