Robin: I have been planning to use a stator and flywheel off an Kolhler
riding lawm mower engine. It must be one with electric start as you would
use the battery charging portion of the system. The voltage regulator
could also be used.

Howdy all,
I am looking for a suitable DC dynamo or permanent magnet motor to produce
an output of 1-2 amps at 12volts. I could live with higher up to 24v and 2
amps but am just after something small. Most applications I can find are
either too large or too small. Considering that I am in Australia I was
wondering if anyone would know where to source a suitable generator?
