50 watts x 24 hours is 1.2kWh's per day, not a insignificant amount. My 
solar panels don't put out that much. You can run a lot more than a 
small light and fan. A 30 watt laptop run 4 hours per day would require 
120wh's. Six 15watt CF's would light your house for 6 hours a day and 
only use 540wh's. I would kill for a 50watt microhydro powersource :-)
