Bob Gudgel the designer of the MX60 has made a simple 'clipper' 
circuit that dumps using PWM and clips off any voltage peaks above 
140 volts.  But I don't think he commercialised it yet.

Others have used hydro with the MX60 using PV panels to 'zener' the 
hydro voltage.  This is an interesting application where power flows 
to the PV and has to be dissipated to prevent overheating.  But it is 
nice and simple.  MPPT is only effective if the hydro and PV both 
like the same operating voltage.
