Hydrophillics,

Sorry for the lack of formal introduction, but this is something of a
time sensitive matter.

In brief, I run a small renewable energy company in Quebec; mostly we do
wind and solar, but the lucky few do sometimes get microhydro. Got a
client call the other day, however, from a fish farm that wants to
utilize a paddle wheel generation system to lessen or eliminate their
grid dependancy. In a nutshell, Ontario is on the fast track to mimicing
California's electrical situation, and the smart rats are getting into
the lifeboats now ;-). This client has river access, and an average flow
rate of 4-5 knots, they tell me. They need 30kw constant feed to keep
their infrastructure (pumps et al) going.

They're in Eastern Ontario, so likely a Canadian supplier/installer
would be best. Suggestions? Altavista searches for hydroelectric
paddlewheels is turning up alot of chaff, not alot of wheat, I'm afraid.

Again, sorry for my abruptness, but they tell me that "time is of the
essence".

Interestingly, I've yet to have a client that told me "yeah, take as
long as you want, we're in no hurry." ;-).

I promise my future participation in your list will be less pressed ;-).

Thanks again,

DJ
