Hi Nando, Martin, and all, > I am NOT fond of the Chinese generators, the AVR is lousy and problematic > and the generators use brushes.
I have no practical experience with them, but other people have told me the same about these Chinese generators. And most certainly I would NOT like to put a brush-type generator into my future plant! As an electronician, I'm confident that I can fix (remake) a poor regulation circuit, but certainly I cannot convert a generator to brushless! :-) So I would certainly prefer to spend a little more on a good, brushless machine. But these are available too in Chile. For Martin it will probably be best to decide what exactly he needs, then compare the price of buying a machine in the USA and bringing it here to use at a derated power, with the price of a good 50Hz machine bought here. I don't know the outcome of this comparison. Manfred. ---------------------------- Visit my hobby website! http://ludens.cl ---------------------------- ------------------------ Yahoo!
