hello all, thank you very much for accepting me in this group. my wife and myself are dutch but we live in southwestern france for quite some years now. when settling here we already had a keen interest in a heating system somewhat more sophisticated and symphatetic than the customary oilburner, but nothing came of it. now, the house and lands mostly restored, a new and sensible and interesting project would be welcome, and some old ideals keep coming to the surface. about a hundred meters away a small river runs past our house, at about forty meters away is a small lake, at the other side of the river we have a small valley that probably can have a small dam somewhere. over the next six months i will try and analyze waterflows, amounts, speeds, etcetera, and collect meterological data for our area. also in this period i intend to read all available information and experience that you have put so willingly at our disposal in order to be able to better assess our situation and to build up enough capacity to ask sensible questions. with regards, hans den boer
