Michael,

Thank you for your precious advise.

I'll try to et the FIDIC yellow book.
What do you mean by C&I?

Best regards

Remi

  Remi,

I would suggest that you get yourself a copy of the FIDIC yellow book (see
below), which is to my knowledge the most widely used standard contract for
this type of project. It is easily adaptable to all sorts of projects and
usually accepted by the contractors. You should work out a contract based on
this document before entering into negotiations with the suppliers, as the
conditions of contract (warranty, terms of payment, risk, insurance,
performance guarantees, dispute resolution etc.) will affect the price for
the equipment. Your position during the negotiations will also be much
  better if you come prepared.

Alternatively, I am sure the supplier will have his own proposal for the
contract, which will usually give you a lower price, but may leave you in a
poor position if something goes not according to plan.

As 2 x 1.2 MW is probably your private MICRO project, and you are probably
responsible to your employer, I would suggest you use the first method. BTW,
I have used FIDIC for much smaller projects.

As for the Chinese made equipment: In my experience you get what you pay
for. If you decide to save the money, you will have to have much (!!)
stricter supervision on site during erection and commissioning. Try to get
at least the C&I part from a western manufacturer. After sales service is
  also not the best.

  Mike
