Actually 24-41 feet per minute would be about .27-.46 mph. 16-27 would be correct for feet per second. Unfortuneately, the 24-41 came from a kayak/river raft site and it is actually the gradient for one of the sections of the river. The 24 feet per mile is the average gradient for the entire section and the 41 feet per mile is the steepest gradient within that section. Oso ------------------------ Yahoo!
