They will most likely do a phone and then a F2F interview, so they strongly prefer local candidates on the East Coast. Partering with other teams to support performance testing of the application. 3. Team player with good soft skills. 4. Profitient with EMC teachnologies - SRDF, Clones, Snaps, ECC, WLA, etc. Storage coordinator needed for a 6+ month contract. Bachelor degree in computer-related field or equivalent industry work experience. Candidate must be open to the Shift Schedule" which is rotational (24x5X365, currently no third shift). Candidate will be member of Storage group that supports the performance testing of the application(s) in PT environment along side other support teams such as UNIX, DBA, Network, and Application etc. Storage group is also responsible to support the servers hosting the applications in other environments like Development, Proof of Concept and Production. Systems list includes primarily AIX based with implementation HACMP and Oracle RAC and Red Hat Linux windows and Solaris. EMC storage equipment is in use. Over 2 Pet bytes of storage space on EMC DMX technology. WLA and ECC are used for performance statistics collection and reporting. SRDF is used between the frames and sites. Clones and Snaps are extensively used for various business solutions. Candidate will be responsible to partner with Performance team in attending to the requirement and completing them. This job is customer facing and requires soft skills. Candidate is required to have minimum of 3 years of experience in supporting and performing storage administrator role. Exposure to UNIX environment is a must and AIX is preferable. Candidate is required to have minimum of 1 year experience supporting storage equipment in production. Candidate is required to attend to the tickets in a ticketing system and complete the work. Candidate is required to participate in conference bridge calls with other departments and vendors to resolve issues. Candidate is expected to work on a complex environment and interdependent servers and applications and is expected to be a team player and good in verbal and written communications. Mastery of symcli and scripting skill is a big plus. This job does not involve SAN Administration. 1. Storage coordinator. 2.
