Tonight at about 10 o'clock, I took a drive in the heavy rain along a back
road here in New Baltimore.

As hoped for, there was a big movement of large salamanders. The few I
stopped for to have a closer look were all SPOTTED SALAMANDERS.

I kept an eye out for other species, but because of the darkness and lack of
safe pull over spots, I didn't identify any other types.

I plan to go out tomorrow night and hope to find more and perhaps a photo or
two.

Birdwise, I didn't see or hear any owls, woodcock or snipe.
